Essential Functions

	Travels throughout assigned territory to call on current and prospective customers to solicit orders for company product lines, as well as broker lines.
	Maintains relationship with existing customers and establishes relationships with new customers.
	Makes consultative sales presentations explaining product features by using samples, as well as the catalog and other marketing information.
	Manages relationship with territorial licensees.
	Quotes prices and credit terms. Writes up completed order.
	Prepares weekly itinerary and contacts sales manager at a pre-scheduled time.
	Informs customers of company policies and procedures.
	Processes credits and claims in a timely manner.
	Represents the company at all assigned trade shows and customer open houses.
	Maintains daily contact with customer service.

Job Skills

	Five years of successful sales experience in horticulture sales or related field.
	Must have horticulture knowledge of roses, perennials and woody plants, as well as industry experience.
	Bachelor's degree in horticulture or related field or equivalent work experience.
	Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
	Must be extremely organized and able to multi-task.
	Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
