Recently renamed Actea, Cimicifuga is an excellent plant to add to the shade garden. Dark purple, almost black, divided foliage adds nice color and texture. Long spikes of light pink to white flowers reminiscent of pipe cleaners, bloom in the fall adding great late season interest.
